CRO – Business Continuity & Resilience Risk Lead

Role Overview

Join Bloomberg’s second line of defense (2LoD) Risk function as a seasoned professional to provide independent oversight, challenge, and governance of the firm’s Resilience program. The ideal candidate is a technically grounded practitioner who can engage with engineers, infrastructure teams, and product teams to translate technical recovery capabilities into meaningful risk judgments.

What You Will Do

Provide robust independent oversight and challenge of Bloomberg’s BC, DR, and broader resilience programs and practices. Assess the technical adequacy of the firm’s recovery posture, evaluate alignment between business continuity plans and disaster recovery capabilities, and identify gaps and weaknesses in the resilience framework.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in BC/DR and enterprise resilience
• Deep hands-on technical grounding in at least one associated discipline
• Strong command of disaster recovery concepts
• Experience assessing or governing disaster recovery capabilities in complex environments
• Proven 2LoD experience with demonstrated ability to provide credible independent oversight and challenge
• Experience engaging constructively with engineering, SRE, and infrastructure teams
• Strong analytical and communication skills
