Role Overview
The Finance Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions, strong internal controls, efficient processes, and reliable financial reporting.
What You Will Do
Manage daily finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, cash management, and financial transactions. Oversee month-end and year-end close activities and ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in public or private accounting or internal auditing. Knowledge of and experience in applying the principles, practices, and techniques of auditing, accounting, and taxation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in public or private accounting or internal auditing
- Knowledge of and experience in applying the principles, practices, and techniques of auditing, accounting, and taxation
- Knowledge of and the ability to utilize principles and procedures associated with budget development and maintenance
- Knowledge of and ability to utilize computers and software applications in the performance of job duties
- Knowledge of complex Excel functions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data processing and financial budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities
- Knowledge of City, State, and Federal ordinances, statutes, regulations, and reporting requirements to insure accurate and timely compliance with all requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, utilizing the English language, including proper grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and punctuation
- Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations in the performance of job duties
- Good judgment and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in English, and to understand and follow both oral and written instructions
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all City documents and transactions
- Ability to accurately prepare and maintain various records, reports, correspondence, and other departmental documents
- Ability to plan and organize a personal work schedule, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the general public, other employees, supervisors, and governmental officials
Benefits
- Unclassified Salary Range $43.20 – $60.42
