Role Overview
The Business Development Executive promotes and sells company services through direct client contacts, works directly with assigned clients, and analyzes client financial and market trends to recommend pricing strategies.
What You Will Do
Develop target lists, initiate contact with potential clients, confirm appointments, support existing clients, provide tracking information, escalate issues, manage client requests, facilitate RFQ’s, and provide marketing and proposal support.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Requires strong client-facing skills, effective selling, and consultative approach, with 1-2 years of experience in 3PL, freight forwarder, transportation, or business development fields.
Requirements
- 1-2 years’ experience in 3PL or freight forwarder
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Strong computer usage skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet challenges with resourcefulness
- Effective negotiation and closing techniques
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
