Role Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst, Finance Controllership will support various aspects of the financial reporting close process, including preparing journal entries, supporting analysis, and completing reporting deliverables. This role will also assist with the preparation of financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and note disclosures. The Senior Financial Analyst will also support technical accounting advisory by researching and applying ASPE standards to transactions, and assist with drafting accounting memos and policies.

Requirements
- A degree in accounting or business/commerce.
- Currently have or working towards a CPA designation
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, month-end/year-end close, and external reporting.
- Strong knowledge of ASPE and/or IFRS, with hands-on experience conducting technical accounting research and support the drafting of accounting memos and policies.
- Experience preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and supporting full financial statement preparation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate clear insights and recommendations for Finance and business stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating effectively across functions.
- Experience supporting process improvement, systems enhancements, or automation initiatives is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships across Finance and the business and contribute to mentoring junior team members.
