What You Will Do

Own the build, evolution, and long-term health of highly scalable systems and distributed platforms that support advertising and customer marketing experiences across eBay. Stay actively involved in architecture reviews, technical decision-making, build reviews, and critical code paths to help teams deliver durable, high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Deep hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and modern data technologies
• Proven success building and scaling high-throughput, low-latency systems that serve millions of customers with strong architectural depth in scalability, resiliency, observability, and performance engineering
• A strong passion for technology, with the ability to dive into code, influence technical decisions, and raise the bar on engineering quality and execution
• Experience with AI- and ML-powered platform capabilities, along with familiarity with modern developer productivity practices such as AI-assisted software development, engineering efficiency improvements, and continuous delivery
• Experience in Ads, MarTech, ecommerce, fintech, or other large-scale customer-facing product and platform organizations
