Grain Systems Sales Manager – Structures Department

Role Overview

The Grain Systems Sales Manager is responsible for developing and managing sales of grain storage, grain handling, and related structures and equipment for Gold Star FS. This position develops customer relationships, identifies project opportunities, evaluates customer needs, prepares estimates and proposals, coordinates projects from sale through completion, and ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.

What You Will Do

Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers, generate new business through prospecting, customer visits, referrals, and industry events, and sell grain bins, grain legs, conveyors, unload systems, fans, dryers, aeration equipment, and related equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
• Previous experience in grain systems, grain handling, agricultural equipment, construction, sales, or a related field preferred
• Previous sales experience with demonstrated success preferred
• Knowledge of grain storage and grain handling systems preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, equipment specifications, layouts, and measurements
• Strong mathematical, estimating, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and customer-service skills
• Strong organizational and project-management abilities with the ability to manage multiple projects, customers, and deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicable company systems
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Gold Star FS service area
• Regular travel to customer locations and construction sites is required
• Ability to walk and inspect work sites
• Ability to climb ladders and access grain bins, legs, towers, catwalks, and other elevated areas when required
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and around grain dust, noise, moving equipment, construction activities, and other potential hazards
• Ability to wear required PPE while visiting or working on job sites
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, and move around job sites as needed
