Role Overview
This role plays a central part in ensuring smooth, compliant, and people-centered HR operations across a mission-driven organization. You will oversee core HR functions including payroll, policy management, compliance, and employee lifecycle processes while supporting a distributed and collaborative team environment.
What You Will Do
Oversee day-to-day HR operations including payroll processing, employee records management, and compliance with internal policies and legal requirements. Manage weekly payroll coordination and serve as the primary liaison with external payroll providers.

Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Human Resources or People Operations
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR
- Proven experience managing payroll processes, multi-state compliance, and HR operational systems
- Strong familiarity with HRIS platforms, payroll systems (Paychex preferred), and collaboration tools such as Google Workspace
- Knowledge of international contractor management and cross-border HR compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism in handling confidential information
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities and meet regulatory deadlines
- Solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Demonstrated adaptability, accountability, and commitment to mission-driven work
