NRG is seeking a Financial Operations Analyst on the Virtual Power Plant (VPP) team, who is passionate about facilitating, developing and enhancing products and solutions that provide load flexibility to the Grid. This position requires an analytical, organized, structured, detail-oriented, curious, creative and proactive candidate.
Requirements
- Build a deep understanding of the market landscape
- Create reporting and analytical frameworks to generate actionable insights from VPP enrollment, maintenance, and performance data
- Analyze portfolio performance to identify trends, key drivers, risks, and growth opportunities
- Develop and maintain an integrated view of core performance metrics across the active VPP product portfolio
- Conduct research and generate insights, use-cases, and industry analyses to address potential future opportunities
- Leverage AI-powered tools and analytics platforms to connect data points, generate deeper insights and automate routine analysis where possible
- Support forecasting, scenario modeling and strategic business reviews by utilizing advanced analytics techniques
- Provide in depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions, and influence strategic product portfolio decisions
- Identify and communicate risk and impacts of proposed solutions along with risk mitigation options considering business implications of the application of the product concept
- Provide support on requested tasks, organize tasks, communicate and proactively report performance and develop next steps
- Understand financial impacts of partner agreements and ensure payments are accurate between NRG and our partners
