Marketing Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst

Role Overview

The Marketing Financial Planning & Analysis team supports Pembina’s Marketing business through an in-depth understanding of its financial performance in the short and long term. The team owns the monthly forecast, annual budget, three-year plan, and performance scorecards, and provides analysis of commodity price exposure, frac spreads, and margins to support commercial decision making.

What You Will Do

Champion Pembina’s Zero by Choice safety culture and Life Saving Rules, support monthly forecasts, annual budgets, long-range plans, and quarterly and annual financial reporting, track financial and operational performance, complete variance analysis, and prepare management reporting and insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of FP&A experience or demonstrated progressive experience in a related financial or analytical role
• CFA or CPA designation, or progress toward completion, is considered an asset
• Knowledge of the oil and gas sector, with exposure to midstream or commercial operations
• Strong Excel skills, including experience with complex calculations, financial modeling, and data analysis
• Familiarity with forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to validate data, identify trends, and translate findings into meaningful insights
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• Self-motivated and results-oriented, with strong attention to detail, accountability, and sound judgment
• Ability to proactively identify and communicate issues, risks, priorities, or workload constraints
