People Operations Specialist

Role Overview

The People Operations Specialist will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, building test cases, and documenting results in tracking systems. The role will also involve managing test data, environments, and automation tools, and communicating test status and blockers to development and program leadership.

What You Will Do

The specialist will manage onboarding, offboarding, and employment status changes, maintain accurate employee records, orchestrate benefits enrollments, and serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in People Operations, HR Specialist, or similar HR support role
• Demonstrated proficiency in HRIS or PEO platforms (Justworks, Lattice, Ashby, Rippling)
• Hands-on experience managing onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and leave of absence workflows
• Knowledge of employment law, multi-state compliance, and leave administration (FMLA, ADA)
• Experience supporting a remote or hybrid workforce in a fast-paced, distributed environment
• U.S. citizenship required due to government contract requirements; residency in approved hiring hub (DC/Maryland/Virginia, Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill NC, Denver/Colorado Springs CO, or Dallas/Fort Worth TX)
