Role Overview
The Sales Manager develops a well-trained sales staff that meets or exceeds sales quotas, increases market share, and maintains high ethical standards. They lead staff management, market share development, expense management, and operations support.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include staff management, meeting sales quotas, developing marketing programs, analyzing competitor pricing, and maintaining sales supplies. The Sales Manager also prepares reports, maintains sales rooms, and ensures compliance with Company policies.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate has sales experience, preferably as a Sales Counselor or sales supervisor, and experience presenting, training, and motivating salespeople. They should have a working knowledge of Windows-based PC environments and MS Office applications, and be able to maintain confidentiality and work beyond standard business hours.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Sales experience not required
- Sales Counselor and sales supervisory experience preferred
- Valid state/province driver’s license with good driving record
- Insurance license as required by state/province law and as prescribed by each state board
- Working knowledge of Windows-based PC environment and MS office applications
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work beyond standard business hours when necessary to service customers
- Ability to set goals for employees that are challenging but achievable
