Financial Analyst

Role Overview

The Financial Analyst will prepare, analyze, and present financial information to MPC’s Management and other groups within the Company. The role will also develop, maintain, and manage financial modeling systems used for strategic financial planning activities and project analysis.

What You Will Do

The Financial Analyst will provide financial analysis in support of strategic corporate initiatives, including sales & marketing, regulatory, and budget. The role will also prepare responses from the Financial Analysis function for regulatory data requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of Accounting/Finance experience
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with changing priorities and produce timely results
• Ability to effectively respond to changing business needs
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel spreadsheets and models
• Basic project management skills
• Working knowledge of utility accounting and regulatory framework preferred
