Role Overview
The People Operations Manager drives employee relations, HR compliance, and the consistent application of People policies and programs at Take Command. This role serves as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance on performance, workplace concerns, and employment practices while identifying and proactively addressing HR risk.
What You Will Do
Employee Relations & Manager Advisory: Serve as the primary talent advisor to managers on performance management, employee relations, difficult conversations, corrective action, and terminations. Lead workplace investigations from intake through resolution, including fact-finding, documentation, and recommendations.

Requirements
- 5-7 years of progressive People Operations experience with meaningful depth in employee relations and HR compliance
- Demonstrated experience leading employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, performance management, and corrective action
- Working knowledge of federal and multi-state employment requirements, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, and state-specific leave, wage, and pay transparency requirements
- Experience in coaching managers through complex or sensitive people situations, and operating as a consultative partner to business leaders
- Experience owning or significantly contributing to HR compliance infrastructure, including handbooks, policies, recordkeeping, and audits
- Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive employee matters and confidential information
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex People topics into practical guidance
- Ability to operate independently while knowing when to escalate matters to the Director of People Operations or legal counsel
