Marketing and Development Communications Specialist

Role Overview

The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture is seeking a Marketing and Development Communications Specialist to market new varieties from the Foundation Seed program, represent the Foundation Seed program as a vendor at industry meetings, and develop marketing and promotional materials for AES.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will market new varieties from the Foundation Seed program, represent the Foundation Seed program as a vendor at two annual rice field days, attend industry meetings as an exhibitor, establish and maintain regular communications with seed dealers, and assist with end-user-focused marketing efforts for ARoma 22 aromatic rice.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Must submit a portfolio and/or links to previous marketing and communications work
• 1+ years’ experience in marketing and/or communications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
• Positive and collaborative work ethic
• Experience with donor communications or fundraising campaigns
• Experience coordinating marketing or outreach events
• Familiarity with agriculture, higher education, and/or commodity groups
