Role Overview

The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture is seeking a Marketing and Development Communications Specialist to market new varieties from the Foundation Seed program to seed dealers statewide, represent the Foundation Seed program as a vendor at two annual rice field days, and develop marketing and promotional materials for AES.

The successful candidate will market new varieties from the Foundation Seed program to seed dealers statewide, represent the Foundation Seed program as a vendor at two annual rice field days, and develop marketing and promotional materials for AES.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 1+ years of experience in marketing and/or communications, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency with design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Must submit a portfolio and/or links to previous marketing and communications work
  • 1+ years’ experience in marketing and/or communications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Positive and collaborative work ethic
  • Experience with donor communications or fundraising campaigns
  • Experience coordinating marketing or outreach events
  • Familiarity with agriculture, higher education, and/or commodity groups
