About the Role

The Regional Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue and gross profit growth across the South Asia region in line with company-defined sales targets. The role focuses on regional business development, strategic and multinational customer acquisition, trade lane growth, and coordination across country sales teams. The position requires strong market knowledge, senior-level selling capability, and the ability to work across borders and functions to deliver sustainable growth.

What You’ll Do

1. Regional Business Development & Growth

  • Deliver assigned regional revenue and gross profit targets.
  • Identify and develop new regional and multinational customers.
  • Drive growth in priority trade lanes and industry verticals.
  • Lead regional RFQs and cross-country sales opportunities.
  • Execute company sales strategy at a regional level.
  • Act as the single commercial point of contact for customers operating across multiple countries.
  • Develop account strategies to grow wallet share and long-term partnerships.
  • Coordinate pricing, contracts, and service agreements across countries.

2. Collaboration with Country & Territory Sales Teams

  • Work closely with country heads, Territory Sales Managers, and the Head of Sales to execute regional opportunities.
  • Support local sales teams in complex or high-value deals.
  • Ensure alignment between regional opportunities and country-level execution.
  • Avoid channel conflict by clearly defining account ownership and roles.

3. Pipeline Management & Forecasting

  • Build and manage a regional sales pipeline.
  • Maintain accurate CRM updates for regional opportunities.
  • Provide reliable forecasts and visibility of regional performance.
  • Identify risks and corrective actions to ensure target delivery.

4. Commercial Governance & Pricing

  • Ensure compliance with pricing, margin, and credit policies across the region.
  • Partner with pricing and operations on regional and complex solutions.
  • Escalate non-standard commercial terms for approval as required.

5. Market Intelligence & Strategy Input

  • Monitor regional market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity.
  • Provide structured market feedback to the Head of Sales and leadership team.
  • Support go-to-market planning for the region.

6. Cross-Functional & Cross-Border Coordination

  • Work closely with operations, pricing, and customer service teams across countries.
  • Support smooth onboarding and service delivery for regional accounts.
  • Ensure consistency in customer experience across South Asia.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics & Supply Chain, Business/ Sales & Marketing or related field.
  • Min. 8 years of business development or sales experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
  • Proven experience managing regional or multinational accounts
  • Strong understanding of ASEAN +India trade lanes, markets, and customer dynamics
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
  • Deep understanding of freight products, warehousing, trade lanes, and carrier dynamics.
  • Strong strategic selling and negotiation skills
  • Effective stakeholder and cross-cultural communication skills
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Commercial and financial acumen, and results driven
  • Experience managing complex RFQs and strategic accounts.
  • High integrity and ownership mindset
  • Proficiency in English, strong communication and management skills
