Job Description: Assistant Finance Director – Group Financial Planning and Analysis

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting & Compliance
– Lead monthly financial close and consolidation across countries.
– Ensure compliance with SFRS(I), SGX reporting requirements, and internal Group policies.
– Review and oversee preparation of Group financial statements and Annual Report.
2. Internal Controls & Governance
– Implement and uphold internal controls, financial policies, and risk management procedures.
– Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
3. Business Partnering & Strategy
– Serve as a trusted finance partner to regional leadership (e.g., Country CEOs, HODs).
– Provide financial insights to support strategic plans, investments, and board-level discussions.
– Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets aligned with business goals.
4. Performance Management
– Analyze Group-wide financial performance, identify trends, and recommend profit optimization strategies.
– Prepare and present KPIs and variance analyses to senior management.
5. Process Improvement & Digital Transformation
– Drive finance transformation initiatives, including automation and system implementation.
– Identify process inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement across finance operations.
6. Team Leadership & Development
– Provide guidance and mentorship to regional finance teams; oversee team deliverables.
– Support performance development and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration.
7. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Engagement
– Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, company secretaries, and regulatory bodies.
– Represent Group Finance in cross-functional projects and senior leadership forums.
– Collaborate with Commercial, R&D, and Operations teams on business assessments and projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
– Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
– Minimum 10 years of relevant experience including prior managerial experience (preferably in a Big 4 firm or SGX-listed company).
– Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting (SFRS(I)), consolidation, and governance.
– Experience in the healthcare, biomedical, or pharmaceutical sector is a plus.
– Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
– Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
– Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
– Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
– Willingness to travel across the region as needed.
– Fluency in English; knowledge of an additional Asian language is an advantage.
