Asst Sales Manager / Senior Sales Exec (Exp in event or hospitality Ind)
Responsibilities
- Support annual customer segmentation process and review performance values to optimise decision-making for sales.
- Develop and implement sales strategy, new business/membership/client development, retention of clients/members, and identification of entrepreneurial enterprises.
- Maintain cloud‑based CRM software, review and refine existing sales SOPs and KPIs.
- Generate reports and present to organisational stakeholders; work closely with senior management to ideate new sales strategies.
- Secure, manage and achieve maximum sales in events, social & recreational activities to meet revenue forecasts.
- Develop, service and manage designated accounts; maintain relationships with key accounts.
- Identify new business opportunities, follow up on referrals/enquiries and potential sales.
- Conduct site inspections for potential clients.
- Generate proposals and contracts.
- Communicate client needs to respective departments, handle issues that arise and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to maximise guest satisfaction.
- Provide feedback to Sales Leadership on market situation and competitors’ activities.
- Generate ‘out of box’ ideas for sales and motivational initiatives in developing promotional packages and sales strategies.
- Embody company culture and maintain high sales employee engagement.
- Meet predetermined revenue goals through the activities of direct reports and identify yielding processes when required.
- Ensure correct usage of CRM and other sales applications (e.g., Salesforce).
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in any field with relevant industry/event background.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with a proven sales record in events/hospitality industry (preferably events).
- Minimum 5 years in sales customer‑facing role or internal sales support (preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of tender process and Salesforce (or other sales CRM).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and adhere to timelines.
- Team player and adaptable to changes.
