Role Overview
The Project Planner – Growth and Studies supports the Growth and Studies Lead in planning, scheduling and delivering Barrick’s organic growth projects across the Rest of World portfolio. The role owns integrated planning and scheduling across multiple projects and the full project lifecycle – from early-stage studies and PEA, through PFS and Feasibility, into execution and construction.
What You Will Do
Own and maintain the integrated master schedule for growth projects across the Rest of World portfolio, drive study-stage planning discipline, integrate inputs from multiple technical disciplines, prepare and present schedule reports, and travel to project and mine sites to support study execution.
Why It Might Be a Fit
A background in mining project development is required, and experience spanning PEA through to execution and construction is highly beneficial. Strong analytical skills, sound knowledge of mining project development fundamentals, and strong planning and scheduling skills are also required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, geology, civil engineering, project management or a related technical field
- Developing and managing integrated schedules for mining growth projects across the full lifecycle
- Developing and implementing planning standards and standardising reporting and project controls across a portfolio or organisation
- Coordinating inputs from multiple technical disciplines and external consultants into a single consolidated plan
- Preparing and presenting schedule reports, dashboards, milestone updates and planning KPIs to project and senior leadership
