Business Development Manager – Insurance

Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to support one of our Australian insurance industry clients. The role involves building relationships, generating new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth. The successful candidate will confidently represent a premium insurance-focused business while managing the full sales cycle from lead generation through to conversion.

Drive new business acquisition and revenue growth within the insurance sector, develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and stakeholders, and identify new sales opportunities and convert leads into long-term partnerships.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or similar sales-focused role
• Minimum of 1-year Australian insurance industry experience
• Strong background in insurance sales
• Excellent English communication skills — both verbal and written
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
• Professional, polished, and confident client-facing approach
• Strong sales mindset with a hunter mentality
• Tech-savvy with experience using CRM systems and sales tools
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new products and processes
• Highly self-motivated, committed, and results-driven
• Strong organizational and pipeline management skills
• Experience working with Australian clients or within the Australian market
• Experience in a broker/intermediated insurance environment
