Role Overview

The Business Development Director leads the business development efforts for new customers, establishing new relationships, generating revenue growth, and maximizing enterprise profitability. This role emphasizes aggressively pursuing new business opportunities and progressing new business leads. The Business Development Director guides cross-functional and multi-level teams to develop solutions to potential prospects.

What You Will Do

Develop, identify, and qualify new business opportunities through strategic prospecting and planning. Ensure the prospect is financially solvent and will be a long-term viable customer. Follow up on lead generation in a timely manner with weekly face-to-face sales calls. Coordinate development of client solutions with Commercial and Operations leaders.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of truckload sales experience, excellent customer service, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to develop a working knowledge of all terminal operation aspects and travel may be required as dictated by the customer/business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of truckload sales experience
  • TMS experience desired. TMW preferred
  • Excellent customer service, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Ability to develop a working knowledge of all terminal operation aspects

Benefits

  • Yearly salary at $85,000-$90,000 plus commission
