Role Overview
The VP of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships will lead all aspects of business development and organic growth for FSM Federal, focusing on federal government opportunities, particularly with DLA Energy and DoD. This executive position will be responsible for building the company’s revenue pipeline, driving strategy, capture management, proposal development, strategic partnerships, and market positioning.
What You Will Do
Key responsibilities include growth strategy development, opportunity identification and pipeline management, capture and proposal leadership, business development and relationship building, team building, market intelligence and analysis, strategic partnerships and teaming, performance metrics, compliance and risk management, and joint venture support.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of progressive experience in federal business development, with a proven track record of winning and growing federal contracts, particularly with DLA Energy, DoD, or similar agencies. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills are also required.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in federal business development
- Proven track record of winning and growing federal contracts
- Significant knowledge of the federal procurement process
- Strong existing network within the federal contracting community
- Experience building and scaling a growth function in a small or startup federal contracting environment
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
