Business Development Representative – Public Sector (Higher Education and Academic Medical Centers)

Role Overview

As a Business Development Representative supporting our Public Sector team, you will play a critical role in driving pipeline growth across strategic Higher Education and Academic Medical Center(AMC) accounts. This role is suited for an experienced BDR with a proven track record in outbound prospecting, account engagement, and pipeline creation within complex, Public Sector environments.

What You Will Do

Drive strategic outbound prospecting across Higher Education and Academic Medical Center accounts — including new logo prospecting and customer expansion through cross-sell and upsell — using multi-channel approaches (calls, email, LinkedIn, events, and campaigns). Conduct in-depth account and market research to identify high-value opportunities within both prospect and existing customer accounts.

Requirements

  • 1–3+ years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or Inside Sales role within SaaS, CX, cloud, or technology environments
  • Proven experience as an experienced BDR, with strong outbound prospecting and pipeline generation results
  • Strong understanding of the US Public Sector
  • Demonstrated ability to engage mid- to senior-level stakeholders in complex organizations
  • Strong business acumen, curiosity, and strategic thinking
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Experience with Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and modern sales engagement tools
