Role Overview

We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Sales Manager to join our Sales organization in Metsä Board Americas. In this role, you will play a key part in driving profitable growth by developing new business with converter customers across the United States.

What You Will Do

As Sales Manager, you will focus on identifying and winning new business opportunities, building a strong pipeline, and expanding Metsä Board’s presence within targeted converter accounts. Your main responsibilities will include proactively identifying, targeting, and winning new converter customers and new business opportunities within assigned territories and market segments across the United States.

Requirements

  • Proven success in a hunter-style sales role
  • Experience in selling to converter customers, packaging customers, or related paperboard and packaging markets
  • Strong commercial skills, including opportunity qualification, value-based selling, negotiation, and closing
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
  • A bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with Sales Management and cross-functional teams
  • A self-starting approach, high energy, resilience, adaptability, and a results-driven mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and confidence in working with CRM tools
