Role Overview
As our first dedicated Business Development Manager for Romania, you’ll have the unique opportunity to introduce our world-class payment solutions to a high-growth region. You’ll be the driving force behind Mollie’s expansion into the Romanian market.
What You Will Do
Identify and close new business opportunities within the Romanian SME and mid-market segments to drive rapid market share growth, build and maintain a robust outbound pipeline, and negotiate and close complex deals.

Requirements
- ~5-7 years of B2B Sales experience, ideally in E-commerce, Tech, or Retail
- Professional fluency in Romanian and English is essential
- A proven track record of exceeding targets in a B2B SaaS or fintech sales environment
- Deep knowledge of the Romanian e-commerce ecosystem and local payment preferences
- A self-starter ‘hunter’ mentality with the discipline to build a territory from scratch
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders
- Strong technical aptitude to explain payment integrations and API benefits to prospective partners
