Role Overview
The Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist supports grants management, financial forecasting, and budget administration for NDWA, serving as a liaison between Finance and Development. This role supports the management of grant budgets and compliance, supports multi-year financial models and forecasts, coordinates financial operations across NDWA (501(c)(3)) and Care in Action (501(c)(4) and Super PAC), and maintains the organization’s in-house budgeting and reporting tools.

Primary responsibilities include grants management & compliance, financial planning & analysis, cross-entity coordination (NDWA & Care in Action), financial reporting, budget & systems administration, and other duties.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent coursework and experience)
- 1-2 years of nonprofit financial management experience, with extensive grant management, budget planning, and financial compliance for 501(c)(3) organizations
- Working knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit audit requirements, and financial reporting for funders
- Proficiency in Excel (including advanced functions), Financial Edge, Salesforce, and Google Workspace; comfort working across accounting software systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills, with rigorous attention to detail
- Commitment to growth and professional development
- Alignment with NDWA and Care in Action’s mission, vision, and values, and an understanding of the issues facing low-wage workers, immigrant communities, and women of color
Benefits
- Salary: $75,377–$78,820
