Role Overview

This position performs unique technical operations and corrections to taxpayer accounts, computer generated listings, and inquiries. The role involves extensive research and analysis through use of paper and electronic listings, PC programs, and OnBase. The employee will perform daily oral and written communication on technical details of tax rules and regulations, with teammates and the public.

What You Will Do

The job duties include processing returns and/or refund claims, edit/error correction of tax returns and applications, written and telephone communication with taxpayers, corrections of errors and preparation of adjustments to correct tax returns and applications, and training peers.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of web and PC software applications, general accounting principles, and business office procedures. They will be able to communicate effectively by telephone, face-to-face, and in writing, and have the ability to research and analyze accounts, recognize errors, and apply various policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods
  • Experience in customer service or public contact
  • Applying criteria/regulations; and/or performing administrative/office/secretarial support work
