Director of Business Development – U.S. Air Force

Role Overview

The Director of Business Development will lead and expand PLEXSYS’ Modeling, Simulation, and Training portfolio within the U.S. Air Force C3BM and C2ISR markets. This role will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, shaping, and capturing new business opportunities that align with the company’s strategic growth objectives.

What You Will Do

Develop and execute a focused growth strategy for DAF C3BM and C2ISR markets, increase pipeline development, strengthen customer intimacy, and position PLEXSYS as a trusted provider of advanced modeling, simulation, training, and mission integration capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, military studies, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, capture, or growth leadership within the defense sector
• Demonstrated experience in DAF, DoD, or federal defense markets, with direct relevance to C3BM, C2ISR, ES, and modeling, simulation, and training
• Proven record of identifying, shaping, and winning new business opportunities
• Strong understanding of the defense acquisition process, budgeting environment, and customer decision cycles
• Established relationships within Department of the Air Force, combatant command, or related mission communities
• Ability to communicate complex technical and operational concepts to internal and external stakeholders
• Strong strategic thinking, leadership, collaboration, and presentation skills
• Ability to travel as required
• Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret / SCI
