Role Overview
Resource Innovations is seeking a Business Development Representative to identify and generate new business opportunities, build relationships with prospective clients, and promote our utility services and software offerings. The role is essential in expanding Resource Innovations’ market presence and driving revenue growth within the utility and energy management sectors.
What You Will Do
The BDR will review and summarize key utility filings, prospect and qualify potential clients, conduct outbound calls and emails, tailor presentations, and collaborate with sales and engineering teams to develop customized proposals.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in utility business development, sales, or account management, a strong understanding of utility operations and regulatory environments, and excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in utility business development, sales, or account management
- Strong understanding of utility operations, energy efficiency, and regulatory environments
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to lead generation and qualification
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Proficiency with CRM software and sales tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Energy Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Experience with ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
