Role Overview
As an Outside Account Manager at Ryerson, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and expanding our contract business with both current and past customers within your designated marketplace. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to leverage your skills in relationship management and business development, ensuring that our clients receive unparalleled service and support.
What You Will Do
Build strong relationships with contacts at all levels across a variety of functions within customer organizations, develop customer trust and confidence in Ryerson, and increase revenue from assigned customers by selling value-added services and programs.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (preferably in marketing, business, or a related field of study) or related experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of previous sales experience in the metals service center industry or similar industrial sales background
- Proficiency with MS Office, SAP and Salesforce.com experience are highly desired
- Strong business acumen with excellent customer service, interpersonal and both oral and written communication skills
- Persuasive negotiation skills with the ability to work within a team or individual environment
- Effective problem-solving/conflict-resolution skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality
