Role Overview
The Business Development Mgr – Econ Dev is responsible for building effective relationships with local economic development organizations, administering activities associated with economic development, and directing and adhering to the economic development riders the company has filed with the Florida Public Service Commission.
What You Will Do
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Business Development Mgr – Econ Dev include leading and developing proposals, streamlining company responses to customers and constituents, and enhancing relationships with customers and economic development organizations.

The ideal candidate will have 4 years of experience working with commercial customers, knowledge of commercial tariff agreements and regulatory requirements, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing or business-related field
- Valid driver’s license and use of reliable personal vehicle necessary to perform field activities
- 4 years of experience working with commercial customers
- Knowledge of Commercial tariff agreements and regulatory requirements
- Proficient competency in Microsoft Office Suite and computer skills
- Above average communication skills
- Knowledge of industry programs, service and economic development techniques
- Demonstrated negotiation skills in the areas of contract negotiation
- Knowledge of electric utility infrastructure
- Familiar with geographical maps
