Role Overview
The Marketing Director, Japan will be a senior B2B marketing leader responsible for driving brand awareness and growth in Japan. They will define and own the integrated marketing plan for Japan, across Legal, Tax and Trade businesses, and build Thomson Reuters’ reputation and category position.
What You Will Do
The role will involve defining and executing marketing strategies, building a high-performing marketing team, and working closely with sales, customer success, and product marketing teams to grow the existing customer base and adoption of new AI capabilities.

Requirements
- 12+ years of marketing leadership in enterprise technology, SaaS or professional information services
- 5+ years building and leading teams
- Experience leading country or regional marketing in Japan
- Strong experience across brand, demand generation, ABM, executive engagement, communications and events
- Commercial fluency: enterprise buying cycles, pipeline, funnel and revenue metrics, attribution and budget management
- Experience in matrixed global organisations: localising global programs and influencing without authority
- A strong understanding of AI’s impact on marketing and buying
- Native or fluent Japanese and business-level English
- A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience
