Sales Development Program – Power Technical Sales

Role Overview

The Sales Development Program is designed for recent college graduates to learn foundational sales skills and gain experience in technical sales. Participants will spend the first year as an Application Engineer, learning Vertiv’s products and processes, and providing technical support to sales teams and customers. In the second year, they will gain additional exposure to technical sales and be on the fast track for a technical sales opportunity.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include training to become an expert on Vertiv’s solutions, assisting with approvals of customization, participating in inbound and outbound calls, responding to Requests for Proposal, and working with sales tools such as Product configurators and MS Power BI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, and MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and detail-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and implement process solutions
