Role Overview
Lead business development activities for WEG Electric Corp’s Commercial Motors business unit in the USA, driving growth and market penetration in target segments. Collaborate with sales teams, marketing, and product teams to align strategies and execute initiatives. Represent the WEG brand at conferences, trade shows, and customer engagements.
What You Will Do
Identify opportunities, engage with target customers, and convert leads into sales. Build strong relationships with customers, partner with cross-functional teams, and deliver tailored solutions with a unique value proposition. Monitor industry trends, competitor landscapes, and market shifts to develop effective go-to-market strategies.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, with familiarity with the motor industry. Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as leadership, energy, and ownership of results. Ability to work independently or in a team, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or business
- 5+ years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or a related role
- Familiarity with the motor and/or similar industry
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- High level of personal initiative, leadership, energy, and ownership of results
- Ability to develop strategic plans and drive tactical execution
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships and work across customer organizations
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently or in a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, reporting, tracking, communication, and follow-up/follow-through
