Financial Analyst

Role Overview

The Financial Analyst supports the financial administration, analysis, reporting, and compliance infrastructure for Central New York Innovation & Growth Initiative, Inc. (CNYIGI) workforce solution funding orders. This role requires employment by the Central New York Community Foundation (CNYCF) and 20% of the time will be for associated CNYCF activities.

What You Will Do

Monitor strategic partners and sub-intermediaries against each associated approved workforce solution funding order budget, track and analyze budgeted versus actual intermediary expenses, prepare financial schedules, summaries, and analyses to support CNYIGI reporting, and maintain complete, audit-ready files and compliance documentation.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, financial operations, or a related field
• Experience with federal (highly preferred) or state award administration, program operations, or compliance support is preferred
• High attention to detail with strong file management, documentation, and version control habits
• Experience supporting financial and programmatic reporting cycles, reconciliation, data validation, and multi-step approval workflows
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines with accuracy
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office with particular strength in Excel and experience working with financial data
