Senior People Operations (HR) Business Partner

Role Overview

The Toronto Blue Jays are looking for a Senior People Operations (HR) Business Partner to join a team dedicated to building a strong, values-driven culture rooted in collaboration and continuous learning. This on-site role reports to the Director, People Operations.

What You Will Do

You will be a trusted advisor to leaders across your assigned business areas, translating business priorities into practical people plans. You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery to guide talent and workforce planning, strengthen leadership effectiveness, support organizational change and navigate complex employee relations matters.

Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive HR experience, including substantial business partnering experience
• Undergraduate degree in a related field; CHRL designation (or working toward one) is an asset
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to quickly understand business priorities
• Interest in baseball, sports, or live events
• Strong business acumen with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive results
• Resourceful, proactive, and solutions focused
• Experience managing employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations, and legal partnerships
• Knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and HR best practices
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strategic mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Experience coaching and advising leaders at all levels
• Experience with HRIS, ATS, and timekeeping systems (Oracle HCM, BambooHR preferred)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Curiosity and practical application of AI and emerging technologies in the workplace
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours as required
