PERSONE NYC is excited to be recruiting for a Catering & Events Operations Manager to join a growing and dynamic NYC restaurant group and take ownership of its expanding catering business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who understands that successful catering is equal parts sales, hospitality and flawless execution.

We’re looking for a hands-on operator and natural relationship builder who can take a catering inquiry from the very first conversation all the way through proposal, planning, production, delivery and successful event execution — while also actively growing the business.

This is not a desk-only sales position and it’s not simply an event execution role.

The right person will be comfortable selling and closing business, working directly with clients, coordinating with culinary and operations teams, managing logistics, being present for events, and constantly looking for opportunities to increase catering revenue and repeat business.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

You’ll oversee the catering process from inquiry to completion, including:

• Managing incoming catering inquiries and orders
• Converting leads into confirmed business
• Building relationships that generate repeat clients
• Upselling and identifying new revenue opportunities
• Creating proposals, estimates and budgets
• Customizing menus based on client needs, dietary restrictions, event type and budget
• Working closely with the culinary team on menu development and execution
• Coordinating staffing, deliveries, setup, service and breakdown
• Supervising on-site catering teams
• Maintaining excellent presentation and brand standards
• Managing vendors, rentals and special event needs
• Monitoring catering inventory, supplies and equipment
• Tracking sales, expenses and profitability

This person will also have a hands-on connection to the food itself, collaborating with the culinary team on catering menus and even participating in the development and creation of new menu items.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’d love to meet someone with a background in restaurant catering, corporate catering, events, hospitality sales or catering operations who is ready to take real ownership of a growing program.

You should be someone who can comfortably move between:

Sales → Client Relationships → Operations → Food → Logistics → Events

You’re organized enough to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously, commercial enough to understand revenue and profitability, and hospitality-driven enough to make sure every client wants to work with you again.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is proactive and entrepreneurial — someone excited by the opportunity to grow a business rather than simply maintain one.

COMPENSATION

$80,000 Base Salary + Commission

The commission component creates meaningful upside for someone who is motivated to grow catering sales and build the business.
