Senior Manager, WRB Stress Testing FP&A

This is a stress testing role that sits within Group FP&A, evaluating the capital adequacy and liquidity position of a bank under a severe but plausible stress scenario. The role would focus primarily at SCB Singapore entity, with need to get involved in other entities’ stress tests when required.

Requirements

  • Support WRB on Enterprise Stress Testing and scenario analysis
  • Engagement with Product Heads and CRO team to review stress test results and provide advisory on the impact of stress for the respective products and WRB collectively
  • Drive credit risk projections on EAD, PD, LGD, ECL, LI and RWA
  • Socialise results with stakeholders through a robust review and challenge process
  • Analyse and present results for forums and committees
  • Support data providers on data quality issues and enhancement of data granularity
  • Support model owner(s) on model life cycle activities (change management, development, testing, validation, monitoring, etc)
  • Develop a keen awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model to support Stress Testing
  • Support the definition and roll out of enhanced stress testing operating model, governance and system solutions
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates
  • Identify, within stress testing activities, operational risk issues and areas of non-compliance with internal or external regulations and requirements and propose solutions and escalate appropriately to ensure appropriate control framework is in place
  • Ensure adequate model risk governance is followed in adopting stress testing models
  • Ensure regulatory stress testing governance requirements are fulfilled, particularly with respect to industry wide stress tests, ICAAP and Recovery Plan exercises
  • Interpret requirements, expectations, and observations from regulator in relation to stress testing exercises
  • Direct comprehensive analysis throughout the year to identify areas for improvement
  • Participate in and provide ongoing support to audit and regulatory reviews and inquiries in relation to Stress Testing
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank
  • Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters
  • Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association
